Thank you all from the COPA NYC family!

We would like to extend our deepest thanks and appreciation to the players, coaches, and presidents of the 22 teams who participated in COPA NYC 2010. Most importantly, congratulations to our newest Mayor’s Cup Winner and New York City Champion, NYC POLAND! Their journey from the qualifying campaign to the final was conducted with the utmost class and professionalism throughout the tournament. Special congratulations must also go to NYC POLAND striker Christopher Karcz, the 2010 Golden Boot and MVP Winner.

Our 1st of many salutations must go to Mayor Michael Bloomberg and his fantastic staff. Without the support of our Mayor, COPA NYC would never have reached such heights.

Thank you so much to all the amazing people from the Mayor’s Office and NYC&CO. In particular, Andy Gould, Mike Hopper and Jeff Mohl from the Sports Division have been instrumental in the evolution of COPA NYC and our appreciation for their assistance cannot be measured.
We would also like to salute everyone at NYC Parks and Recreation, especially Commissioners Adrian Benepe, Estelle Cooper, also Norman Chan, for their guidance and support.

We would very much like to thank Todd Asher, Chris Coffey and their great staff at NYC Media for such a fantastic broadcast of our Championship Match. Thanks to Connie Fitzgerald and the NYC Department of Environmental Protection for providing NYC tap water and recycling materials to our tournament! A special mention should also go to Miguel Cuellar and Luis Montoya for their unparalleled contribution to Queens Youth Soccer.

Lastly, we would like to thank everyone with the NY Cosmos for helping make the COPA NYC 2010 Championship Match a historic day in NYC soccer. The future is bright and we will continue to move onward and upward for years to come.

Cheers and be well,
The COPA NYC family
